Cajun Butter Steak Bites with Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

 Ingredients

For the Cajun Butter


• 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
• 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
• 1 tsp parsley
• 2 tsp minced garlic
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
• Red pepper flakes, optional

For the Steak Bites


• 2 steaks of choice, cut into 1-inch pieces
• 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tsp steak seasoning
• Avocado oil
• 2 tbsp Cajun butter

For the Parmesan Mashed Potatoes


• 2 large gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 2 tbsp sour cream
• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
• 1/2 tbsp butter
• Salt, black pepper, and garlic powder

For Serving


• Asparagus
• Lemon juice
• Garlic powder
• Salt and black pepper
• Parmesan
• Ciabatta and parsley, optional


 Directions

1. Mix all Cajun butter ingredients until combined.

2. Season the steak with Worcestershire sauce and steak seasoning.

3. Heat avocado oil over medium-high heat. Cook the steak bites for 1–2 minutes, then flip.

4. Reduce the heat, add 2 tbsp Cajun butter, and toss for 1 more minute or until cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove from the pan and rest.

5. Add the asparagus to the same pan. Season with lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Parmesan, then cook until tender.

6. Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Drain and mash with heavy cream, sour cream, Parmesan, butter, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

7. Spoon the mashed potatoes into bowls and top with steak bites. Serve with asparagus and optional ciabatta.
